The venue has onsite parking. Salsa Classes/Lessons.

Thursday 7.30pm beginners.  Improvers 8.45pm.

This is a lovely modern, self contained venue with it's own free dedicated car park and a large dance floor situated on the outskirts of Ashby de la Zouch, easily accessible from surrounding areas, Swadlincote, Burton Upon Trent, Measham, Coalville, and surrounding villages. Enjoy a warm & friendly social after the lessons, as Moira Village Hall also has it's own cafe attached to the hall, I am currently bringing in the tea/coffee/milk for a hot drink which is in with the cost of the lesson.  We encourage a  friendly atmosphere with all our Salsa Classes/Lessons.
Every Sunday at 6pm beginners
and 7.15pm Improvers.

The venue has onsite secure barrier parking (be aware that the entrance to the club is also shared with Dosthill Primary School, so if you think you are driving into the school 'don't panic' it is the same driveway.
The room we have hired is big, clean with lovely non sticky flooring for dancing, after class there is a cheap bar (£1.40) a pint! Social dancing at this venue after classes starts at 8.30pm making it a great venue to practice what you have learned and socialize with others. Salsa Classes/Lessons.
Every Monday 7.30pm beginners and Improvers

New Venue to start soon, possible Tues or Wed evening, we are looking into Social Clubs or venues with after class dancing and bar, please email me if you know of any good places, and watch this space.

We aim to keep our salsa classes/lessons relaxed, non-intimidating and safe environment, where the  emphasis is on FUN.
We
encourage a social atmosphere within our group, with regular monthly dance lessons at our monthly parties (see party section tab for dates), and weekends away (see weekenders tab above).   Its a chance to enjoy a great night out not just to learn to dance salsa! Many long term friendships have been made in our  salsa lessons and classes. I consider our group to be more than just a dance class.  Someone once said to me "you can never have too many friends" so there is plenty of scope for anyone wishing to join our dance classes and lessons.
We currently run Latin dance class at four venues:
Three question I am often asked before attending the classes for 1st time.
1. What to wear. Answer:- Comfortable clothing nothing too warm, we get hot dancing, so big jumpers
are not a good idea! Shoes that are not too sticky (i.e no trainers, unless worn out ones!) no flip flop,
or mule shoes without a back.
2. Do I need a partner. Answer:- No, we rotate partners so each person can get the feel of how to
follow (ladies) and lead (guys, we try to keep the ratio of men to woman even, so great if you do have
a partner, get them to come along.
3. How much are the classes, how long do they last. Answer:-£5 per lesson, two classes  £8 taken
on the same night, or block book 8 lesson for £32, (which can be used at all the venues)
we also sell gift vouchers for anyone wishing to buy an unusual gift. Class is for 1 hour, two classes 2 hours.
We encourage you to stop longer after class for social dancing and to get to know new friends and also
to practice..

A local Salsa Teacher wins National Award

The Best UK  Salsa Teacher Award 2008 was announced placing Kate Judge of www.SalsaSpeople.com a local Salsa dance school based in the Midlands in the top three out of hundreds of Salsa Schools and Salsa Teachers up and down the country. She was selected out of months of voting from all Salsa dance students around the UK.

Kate said “I can’t believe it out of the whole of the UK, especially knowing how big the London based Salsa schools can be. It was the students’ votes that got me here.  I am very grateful.  After the announcement was made I then opened my emails to find so many 'congratulation' and 'best wishes', one of the students wrote. “I’m really not surprised you won you certainly do have a fantastic infectious personality that make your classes such fun, not only are you a great teacher you are also great fun to be around”. Which really did put a tear in my eye?  I am very humbled and touched with everyone that voted for me.

Who wants to say looking back over the years to come they 'nearly' had the chance to meet friends? Imagine, you had to concede that you'd only 'nearly ' stole that first kiss! If you'd only 'nearly' took that first holiday abroad. Or imagine if you 'nearly' never met some lovely people because you didn't take that first step to learn to dance Salsa and be part of our wonderful group! So there it is.

Will your 'nearly' be one of regret? Or will you join us? But don't take too long pondering. Because tomorrow's nearly here!!
